Dyscalculia Math Tutor
As a homeschooling mom, my daughter was diagnosed with dyscalculia. Despite our efforts, math remained an uphill battle marked by frustration.
While my daughter persevered and succeeded in math, I knew there had to be a better way to support dyscalculic learners from the start. It wasn't until after my children graduated from our homeschool that I discovered specialized training in multi-sensory methods explicitly designed for students with dyscalculia.
My experience gave me profound empathy for children struggling with dyscalculia and for their parents, who are trying everything they can find to help for their children. I recognize every student needs a customized approach, just as my daughter did.
Today, I am a dyscalculia math tutor who meets students where they are. Patiently identifying their stumbling blocks and strengths, I blend multi-sensory lessons with engaging games to rekindle the joy of learning. Students who once dreaded math regain confidence and eagerly take on new challenges.
Nothing is more rewarding to me than seeing formerly math-avoidant kids excited to learn.
What started as a one-on-one practice has grown into a team of carefully selected tutors who share this same commitment. Each member of our team is trained in the same multisensory, evidence-based methodology and brings both expertise and a genuine heart for students who learn differently. While I personally conduct every initial parent consultation, our students are supported by a team that treats each child's progress as their own.
